Green peace campaigns for a green and peaceful future for 40 years from when they were established in the 1970s. They defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse.
They are independent and do not have funding from the government. Their work is funded by donations.

SAVING THE ARCTIC
The arctic is home to more than 13 million people and the most incredible wildlife on earth, green peace are fighting to stop climate change and to stop people from mining fossil fuels.
PROTECTING FORESTS
Forests are crucial for the health and well being of people, wildlife and the planet. It is one of the last defences against climate change, they try and stop deforestation as it’s damaging the planet and the people on it.
FIGHTING GLOBAL WARMING
Our world is warmer than ever before and people and wildlife are suffering. This is effecting the future especially if this continues.
PROTECTING OUR OCEANS
The ocean is home to more than 700,000 species. Half of the oxygen we breathe is generated by our oceans.
LIVING TOXIC FREE
The air is constantly being polluted by toxic chemicals from chemical plants, cars etc..
DEFENDING DEMOCRACY
People must unite to promote change, to create a movement against the powerful people who are climate denying, promote corruption don’t invest in the protection for people and the planet.
WHAT DO I THINK OF THIS?
I think it is amazing to have something start from a small group of passionate people wanting to create change. They are so concerned for theirs and the future generations futures that they are going against the government etc to start this change. I personally know how bad climate change is and its effects but wouldn’t think it would make that much of a change. But the fact that there are people that don’t let that get in the way is incredible.
